Paperbag Carmel Popcorn

One of my good friends in my book group, Vickie Fawcett, made this delight for one of our discussions. I love it for these reasons:
* I usually have all the ingredients on hand
* It is quick to make (about 5 minutes)
* it is unusually delicious!

Here is the recipe:

2 bags of popped buttered microwave popcorn

In a saucepan bring to boil 1 stick of butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 tsp. baking soda.
Pour this sauce over the popcorn in a paper grocery bag sprayed with PAM. Fold down the top of the bag and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake the bag and nuke for 30 secs. Shake and nuke for an additional 30 secs. Pour onto a cookie sheet to cool. That's it!
